Fashion Week Fall 2022: Most Beautiful Beauty Looks

From glassy skin to unexpected doses of colour.

Fashion Week’s Fall/Winter 2022 season came to its end, with not only a new crop of styles but also some incredible beauty moments to match.

This season proved that everything old is new again. We could see each collection inspired by the ’60s, ’80s and ’90s. There was also a bit of seasonal overlap, which was seen in the dewy summer skin seen at Alutzarra and the spring cheeks at Brandon Maxwell.

For instance, at New York Fashion Week, we got to see makeup mogul Pat McGrath wow with floral-inspired makeup moments backstage at Shayne Oliver. The “human bouquets” saw models’ eyes adorned with petals and lashes laden with pollen across a spectrum of pigments, while the skin was kept simple and stunning.

There was also a fresh interpretation of the classics. At Dauphinette, models sported a greenish-blue gloss on the lips, and at Kim Shui, models took to the runway with ethereal frosted blue eyeshadows smudged toward the brows.

At Carolina Herrera, the contrast between the soft, tinted lips and the quick but crisp touches of winged eyeliner was perfectly balanced by the hint of blush that settled on the models’ cheeks.

In addition, smoky eyes were also a major makeup theme during the Fashion Month season.

Tory Burch opted for a bold red lipstick with a lip brush. Giorgio Armani opted for eyeshadows extended from the eyes to the cheeks, while Alberta Ferretti opted to wear his models with subtly smudged lips.
