Ralph Lauren presented HIS Fall/Winter 2022 collection at the Museum of Modern Art in New York City with a crowd of celebrities on and off the runway.
“My Fall/Winter 2022 collection is a celebration of timeless black and white style,” said Ralph Lauren at the presentation of his latest runway collection at a contemporary New York residence: The Museum of Modern Art. His new collection was the first one since the pandemic.
The brand chose a backdrop that offered elegant architecture and sculptural design to showcase its new runway collection. The show streamed online on its official Instagram account.
“I think the world is craving a little warmth,” Lauren said during a preview. “And for the cleanliness and the elegance of the clothes, the black-and-white sensibility, MoMA was the perfect place,” she added, joking that her current apartment is “much smaller.” “As we come together again, I wanted to share it in an intimate setting within the iconic beauty of the Museum of Modern Art in New York.” He added.
For the event’s décor, Ralph Lauren opted for his living room, bedroom and furniture designs, from coffee tables to books. The launch of the new collection was something of an extravaganza.
During the fashion show, there were celebrity guests invited, such as Jessica Chastain, Angus Cloud, Lily Collins, Janelle Monáe, Zoey Deutsch and many more. Beyond the intimate setting, the new collection served as a reminder of their knack for timeless, classic and tailored garments.
Ralph Lauren’s Fall/Winter 2022 season celebrated the refined, luxurious and contemporary style that has always distinguished the brand. Every element of Lauren’s DNA ended up in the fashion show: the ease of transitioning from day to night, classic menswear-inspired pinstriped suits and “elegant lines of tailored silhouettes for men and women,” the designer commented.
Gigi Hadid opened the runway show. The ‘RL’ motif was seen repeatedly on garments throughout the collection. Fine tailoring was one of the most striking features of the show.
Vittoria Ceretti closed the show in a Yankees cap and bomber.
This was a collection about polishing the Ralph Lauren way. There was a lot of fine tailoring for men finished with velvet slippers and elegant evening wear for women, including a strapless gown with red bodice and bow train.
Jessica Chastain was seen wearing a Ralph Lauren Collection beaded jumpsuit with a tuxedo jacket, carrying a black Wellington handbag.
Lily Collins was also invited to the fashion event. She looked completely gorgeous!
