A beachfront hotel on the island of St. Barth receives a stylish and playful update.
Set on Flamands Bay, one of the island’s finest, the LVMH-owned property Cheval Blanc St-Barth Isle de France is home to 61 beautifully appointed rooms, suites, and villas hidden in lush gardens or with panoramic sea views.
All Ocean and Beach Rooms and Suites unveil a new Caribbean flair imagined by French designer Jacques Grange and inspired by French West Indies. Designer Jacques injected ach room with attention to detail, curated the objects, textures, materials and Aboriginal artworks for each individual room. “Celebrating a delicate alchemy between tradition and innovation, local architecture and timeless elegance, our Maisons blend bold design and contemporary inspirations with local craftsmanship.” From Chavel Blanc’s official website.
This luxury resort is based on Grange’s concept of travel journal, combining a relaxed beach hut style with luxury finishes. He also took inspiration from the island rhythm that’s embraced by the hotel, imbuing the property’s sea-view rooms and social areas with the refined style he’s known for.
“Since the opening of its first Maison in 2006, Cheval Blanc has developed unique properties with an unparalleled sense of detail. In a warm, caring atmosphere, every Cheval Blanc Maison takes the utmost care in creating fulfilling, memorable moments for guests and their families.” From Chavel Blanc’s official website.
Beach suites features Colombian pots with pearls and shells to decorate the rooms, and Aboriginal artworks to adorn the walls. While in the ocean suites, furniture features light and bright coloured fabrics to echo breezy Californian flair. Besides, there are carpets of Tibetan wool soften the floors, styled with ornamental wooden side tables. As regards lighting, it is varied, with some laps – mainly influenced by Middle Eastern pottery.
Featuring 61 rooms, suites, villas, and bungalows – nearly all French, the Cheval Blanc Hotel Resort has become one of the most incredible and luxurious place to go for a holiday. It offers tip-top service for families, solo travellers, honeymooners, or anyone looking for a healthy dose of relaxation. Besides, everything is provided for a pampering beach holiday, from sumptuous loungers to yoga mats with world-renewed yoga instructor Nicolas Legrez.
The interior backdrop is paired back with natural finishes and customized furniture, predominantly in white. The suit walls are clad in bleached larch and convey the beachside ambience of this Palace-status hotel. Moreover, all rooms include plush beds, private changing rooms, luxurious bathrooms, and a private terrace or balcony with a view of the gardens or the beach, while some of the upper-level suites offer private pools, dining areas, boutiques and a gym.
The hotel also boasts a vibrant signature colour reflecting the Maison’s surroundings. In St-Barth, signature blush pink adorns every facet of island living, from Ambassadeur attired, to gifts and amenities, to linens and apparel.
