Well, we all know the name Kate Moss. Yes, she is a model, but her name now has gone above and beyond “just a model”. Born in January 16 (1974) in London, England, Kate Moss is a British fashion model, successful designer, a mother and a business woman. Her waifish figure and natural look redefined the industry in the 1990s, and who later became a relevant celebrity for the three decades as a cultural icon, evolving from it-girl model to defining styles and launching trends.
Being a Croydon girl, she started working as a model on the spur of the moment – out of the blue, we would say. At the age of fourteen, she was discovered by Sarah Doukas, the owner of the modeling agency Storm. In 1990, Moss was photographed by British photographer Corinne Day and caught the attention of the fashion industry. Her beauty, personality and style was amazing that she changed the industry completely, imposing a new perspective of beauty.
Working for so many fashion brands such as Dolce & Gabbana, Dior, Prada, Calvin Klein, just to name a few, Kate Moss is worldwide known as a business woman, designer, “supermodel” and a timeless fashion icon.

In 1994, John Galliano presented his SS94 show “Princess Lucretia” – his last chance to impress the fashion elite. For the season, he created an artistic masterpiece based around a princess that escaped from Russia in 1860. And Kate Moss walked on the runway, showing off his incredible acting skills and sporting a Union Jack coat and bleached hair, whoops with delight.
