Named after the ancient Greek word akros/akron, meaning “on the edge,” ACRO Suites rests against a stunning cliff overlooking the Cretan Sea. Sustainability and natural materials are at the core of the entire project with stone, unrefined woods and raw marble just some of the finishes repeated, many from Crete itself.

The result of a collaboration between the owners and several different local design firms, ACRO Suites is breathtakingly beautiful from every angle.
With natural earthy palettes, each of the 49 suites and villas offers guests panoramic views of the Cretan Sea. Highlights include marble furnishings created by local artists, organic linens and fabrics, and individual saltwater pools. The end result is a space where guests can rejuvenate and relax while connecting with nature.

And, one of the most incredible places in this luxury hotel, is the iconic Cave Suites which is carved directly into the rock. This place features a private pool in the cave to offer guests and visitors the ultimate privacy in an idyllic setting. The Loft Suites has been designed as a 2-level unit, and offers an exclusive atmosphere from floor to ceiling. The Wave Suites “were designed and built to embrace the raw aesthetics of the area in perfect balance. Sleek luxury vibes and an eye for detail make this suite a unique hideaway.” explains ACRO Suites.
With themes of serenity, simplicity and tranquility throughout the property, interior designer Manos Kipritidis worked closely with the owners on Cremnos restaurant and cocktail bar, The Circle. Drawing on local design and surroundings, the food and beverage offerings feature copper and wood finishes, earth tones, custom marble dining tables and natural fabrics. The design is pure and minimalist but with attention to detail in the details.
In addition, food is locally sourced from small island farms, all from an organic kitchen with plenty of vegan and vegetarian menu options available. And, as you would expect, each suite and villa features a private pool and panoramic views of the Aegean Sea for the ultimate privacy in blissful surroundings.
The in-house spa, Bath House, was created with Greek luxury architecture agency, Utopia Hotel Design. Combining smooth curved stone with soft natural elements, the design is based on the shape of a traditional hammam. The oval space plays with light and the element of water with large Byzantine marble baths for maximum relaxing effect. The rest areas and post-treatment relaxation areas have neutral tones that provide a tranquil environment for guests to unwind after an exclusive treatment. The Bath House also features an outdoor swimming pool and a heated pool for those who wish to relax and cool off after a yoga session at the Asana Yoga Shala.
The concept of exploring the senses and restoring the body, mind and spirit is enhanced by the incredible boutique bathhouse.
Wellness is, of course, the focus at the Crete resort. Yoga and fitness classes are held in the Asana Yoga Shala building, a pavilion crowned by a large curved bamboo roof, with views of the sea as a motivating backdrop.
