Alessandra Ambrosio, Candice Swanepoel, Heidi Klum, and Tyra Banks took off their wings to sheathe themselves in the world’s most famous girdles.
SKIMS just tapped some of the industry’s biggest supermodels for their latest empowering and super sexy campaign.
Heidi Klum, Tyra Banks, Alessandra Ambrosio, and Candice Swanepoel teamed up with Kim Kardashian’s burgeoning solution wear brand, modelling pieces from the brand’s best-selling “Fits Everybody” collection for the new icons campaign launched April 4.
In the early 2000s, the Victoria’s Secret Angels were the pinnacle of ‘It Girl’ energy.
However, allegations of performative alliances, the promotion of unhealthy body expectations and the casting of primarily cisgender women caused the Angels to disband and the supermodels to spread their wings and chart their courses.
Kim Kardashian took to SKIMS’ official Instagram page to share a new image of the iconic models with their products.
The entrepreneur herself originally wasn’t supposed to appear in any of the promotional photos but wrote on Instagram “OK so I wasn’t supposed to be in this SKIMS campaign but I stopped and jumped because it was too iconic. Featuring Tyra, Heidi, Alessandra and Candice sporting our signature SKIMS Fits Everybody collection.” Kim posted on her Instagram profile.
The Iconic Campaign celebrated the SKIMS Fits Everybody collection, which includes bras, underwear, swimwear, and loungewear, and it’s designed to stretch to twice your size, according to the SKIMS website.
“When @KimKardashian called me with the idea of bringing these amazing women and I together for @SKIMS, I was intrigued. and here we are! I hadn’t modelled lingerie and lingerie since I retired from the runway, but it was like riding a bike. The poses came back even more fierce than before!” posted Tyra Banks on Instagram after the shoot.
“What fun it’s been shooting with @tyrabanks @alessandraambrosio and @candiceswanepoel for the new @skims “Fits Everybody collection”. It’s been a while since we’ve all been together so it was really special to get together. Thank you @kimkardashian for making it happen,” echoed Heid Klum.
